Our Pastor

Kent Dunwoody was born in Moberly, Missouri and raised with honesty, integrity, and hard work by his parents. He attended the University of Missouri and Moberly Community College, studying business and computer programming. He started his career in the power industry, where he met his wife Sarah and was introduced to the Seventh-day Adventist faith. After being prayed for by Sarah for 14 years, Kent accepted Jesus as his savior and was baptized in 1994. He and Sarah have been actively involved in various ministries and evangelistic events throughout their lives, moving to different places and serving in leadership roles at each church they attended. In 2014, Kent accepted a call to ministry and served as a pastor in Iowa-Missouri Conference for 4.5 years. Kent and Sarah have two children and are currently serving the Golden Valley and Kansas City Central Churches, with a heart for serving those in need and sharing the love of Christ.
